Nickname : EJ ([Ethan James] Neyland) How and why get involved in triathlon : Dad did triathlons and I had always wanted to give one a go but all I had was a bmx, but then I borrowed a road bike and entered the Xosize series. I already loved swimming, bmxing and running. Simon influenced me as well. Coaches: Triathlon: Eric Hanssen, Swim: Brian Miller Sponsors: Mum and Dad Trains : With 110% effort. First sporting success : 30 Second pb for 50m freestyle , Bowling a kid out first ever ball in first ever cricket match, winning my first debuting triathlon at golden slipper, I�m good at winging things. Finest sporting moment : Still haven�t had a convincing finest sporting moment, waiting for something good to come. Though if I had to choose, winning at the 2010 duathlon state champs at yarra bend boulevard, the hills were my advantage as me and my bike are only a total of 43kg (Coach's note: with 30% of it coming form the bike) Best race : 2010 duathlon state champs or the 2009 golden slipper, because I won them. Would most like to meet : Craig Alexander or Chris McCormack, both my favourite triathletes. (coach's note: another long course athlete in tke making ...) Most Prized possession : My bike. Biggest influence : Mum, dad, Eric, Brian... me? Any family connections to sport : Tara and dad: triathlons, mum: personal trainer/health freak Toughest opponent : ME! And all of the quick people at training. Biggest passions away from triathlon : Swimming, Cycling, Running, Football, surfing (occasionally), chess is fun ... Favourite Event : Triathlons, 3K running TT�s Ultimate ambition in Triathlon : Ironman Hawaii world champion , Olympics/world championships.
